Mr. Peter Ssejjiibwa

Clinical Psychiatrist & Director, Royal Psychiatric Clinic Bweyogerere, Uganda

Mr. Peter Ssejjiibwa is a dedicated Clinical Psychiatrist with extensive experience in managing psychiatric cases, particularly those related to drug abuse and addiction. As the Director of the Royal Psychiatric Clinic Uganda, he has made significant contributions to mental health care, focusing on assisting individuals and families in overcoming substance abuse disorders.

Mr. Ssejjiibwa was also an educator at Butabika Clinical Psychiatric Officers School until recently, when he decided to focus more on the community and his clinic. His passion for teaching and mentoring remains evident through his ongoing involvement in community health initiatives and clinical practice. He is also a researcher, contributing to advancements in psychiatric care and addiction recovery.

With a strong connection to community health, Mr. Ssejjiibwa applies a holistic approach to psychiatric care. His expertise in treating drug addiction and related psychiatric conditions has earned him recognition in both the medical and community health sectors.

He will be a speaker at the International Conference on Addiction Recovery for Youth and Families in 2025, where he will share his insights on addiction recovery and the role of community support in mental health care.
